Origin and Terroir The grapes originate from our sustainable managed vineyards around the “Göttweiger Berg” in the south of the Kremstal. Here the typical character of Sauvignon Blanc has the potential to develop due to high temperature fluctuations between night and day. This unique climate ensures the development of the characteristic flavor of this grape variety. The closeness to the Danube and the loess contribute to the refined taste as well. Vinification The Sauvignon grapes were harvested and rushed to the cellar. After a short maceration time, the grapes were gently processed. The fermentation was completed in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After the fermentation the wine was racked and given the chance to develop its characteristic aroma before being bottled. Tasting notes Light green-yellow in the glass, opens up with a delicate black currant flavor in the nose and fine bell pepper nuances; very fruity palate with notes of red currant and stinging nettle at the aftertaste. A light and refreshing wine. Drink and Meal Recommendation This wine is a perfect companion for Pasta, fish dishes and light and spicy dishes of the Asian cuisine.
