Origin and Terroir The grape material for Grüner Veltliner Steinmauer comes from our vineyard in the southern Wachau. The soil is based on a stony underground with a lot of loam. The climate is under continental influence, which is complemented with cool breezes from the Waldviertel. This unique combination results in fruity wines with elegant minerality. Vinification The grape material was selectively harvested, and the healthy grapes were pressed immediately after picking. The fermentation happened in temperature regulated stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the Grüner Veltliner was racked and bottled after a short period of time on the fine lees. Tasting notes Pale yellow color, green apple notes develop on the nose, on the palate is the Grüner Veltliner aromatic with apple notes and a hint of minerality. Food Pairing Grüner Veltliner Steinmauer pairs perfectly with Asian cuisine and Wok dishes and Sushi, as well as with light Salads and appetizers.
