Origin and Terroir The grapes originate from the single vineyard Eichbühel, which is our highest vineyard site 330 m above sea level. The cooler climate and the chalky soil support the fruity development of Grüner Veltliner and enable the grape to mature longer on the vine. Vinification After a selection in the vineyard only the best grapes were harvested. These fully matured, flavor intense grapes were gentle processed after a short maceration time. The fermentation was completed temperature-controlled steel tanks. At the end of the fermentation the wine was racked into 500l oak barrels where it was allowed to mature on its fine lees. Wine description Medium yellow-green in the glass, gentle tobacco notes in the nose, the palate reveals elegance and flavor of honeydew, wild herbs, black pepper and delicate honey notes; quite substantial, a convincingly long mineral and exciting finish. Drink and Meal Recommendation The perfect companion for spicy and flavor rich dishes as well as for a variety of deserts. Without food pairing, this wine is well suited for any special occasion.
