Origin and Terroir The muscat grapes for our sparkling wine originate from our sustainable managed vineyards around the Göttweiger Berg in the southern Kremstal. The hills surrounding the Göttweiger Berg provide diverse soil and micro-climatic conditions. The vineyards grow mainly on warm gravel soil with a thick layer of loess on top. Especially the influence of the warm Pannonian climate from the east and the microclimate of the Danube valley positively influence the ripening of the grapes. Vinification The grapes for this sparkling wine were harvested selectively. The grape material was destemmed and pressed after a short maceration time and fermentation took place in temperature controlled. The fruity Muskateller that resulted served as the base wine for its bubbly variant. The base wine was impregnated with carbon dioxide for several days in a pressure tank and bottled under counterpressure. Tasting notes Sparkling wine with a fine aroma of elderberry flower and yellow grapes, the light bubbles caress the palate, very lively and fruity bubbles. Drink- and meal recommendation This sparkling wine is best enjoyed as an aperitif! But it is also a nice companion to light appetizers and salads.
